Books!

So, awhile ago I did a thing for which I got paid in books.  BOOKS!

Today the books arrived:

P1000100

There's YA:

P1000101

Books about soldiers and homicides:

P1000104

Rural America:

P1000102

Stuff that looked interesting:

P1000103

Also, I asked for this book but they ordered this one.  Ah well, I have books!

Comments

I just read this really interesting article by Atul Gawande, of "The Checklist Manifesto" in your last picture. Made me want to read that book!
Ooh, that article DOES look interesting!

It's been on my wish list for awhile. I really liked 'Complications' so I'm definitely looking forward to 'The Checklist Manifesto'
Books! Yay books!
I know! I love my Kindle, but there's still nothing like a big old stack of books.
Holy cow. That'll take you a while to wade through.
I might have to quit my job and read full-time. Too bad it doesn't pay better.
I liked The Replacement, one of your shiny new YA books. And now, though my to-read list is growing faster and faster, I wish I had random boxes of books show up.
It's kind of awesome, yeah :)
Sweet! I was just partially paid in books too, and it was wonderful to browse through their online catalog and choose some free YA books. Can't wait until my own shipment arrives! :)
I think making up the list was at least as fun as actually getting the books.

Enjoy yours! Take pictures :)
Will do!
I like how the photo for "Stuff that looked interesting" includes a very interested looking dog...who is looking in the opposite direction.
Blue's list of interesting things tends to run more to rabbits than books.
My heart goes pitter-patter at the sight of so many glorious books!!!

Looking forward to hearing which ones you like!
I think it will take me awhile to get through them. Or even figure out where to put them. But I'm okay with that!
That is a picture of heaven!!!

A couple of years ago I was in a bad place, and I was like, "Screw it, I need some retail therapy!" Which for me meant books--in this case $400 smackeroos worth...

I'm still reading them, but I don't regret it one bit :)
I may have to buy a big box of books more often because it made me feel so GOOD to have them sitting on the porch when I got home.

And it's a lot cheaper than other things I could spend money on.
